The Audacity to Be Heard: Why Your Voice Is Sacred, Your Truth Is Power, and Your Life Is Yours to Claim
Let me say this right out the gate:
You were not born to be agreeable.
You were not created to be quiet.
And you were never meant to settle for a life that doesn’t set your soul on fire.
Welcome to Guided by Jamie — and welcome to the rebellion.
This is where the silent get loud, the small get seen, and the ones who were taught to stay in line?
We burn the damn line down.
I created my show, Something to Say, for one reason:
Because silence was never our destiny.
We were taught to shrink.
To serve.
To keep the peace — even when it’s killing us.
But here’s what I’ve learned — and what I know in my bones:
You don’t owe anyone your silence.
You owe yourself your truth.
We’ve Been Lied To
You’ve heard the lies:
“Don’t rock the boat.”
“Be the good girl.”
“Stick it out — for the kids, the marriage, the paycheck.”
“You’re too emotional.”
“You’re too much.”
“You should be grateful.”
And maybe you believed them. I did, too.
But I’m here to call them what they are:
Lies.
Lies that keep women overworked, under-fulfilled, and disconnected from their own power.
Lies that keep us in marriages, jobs, and belief systems that don’t honor our truth.
Lies that turn our fire into ashes.
But not anymore.
Because once you taste truth, once you say it out loud —
You can’t go back to pretending.
And pretending is a soul-deep betrayal.
The Real Reason We Stay Silent
We don’t stay quiet because we don’t have something to say.
We stay quiet because we were punished when we said it.
We were conditioned to associate truth with danger:
If I speak up, I’ll lose love.
If I say what I need, I’ll be labeled selfish.
If I walk away, I’ll be the villain.
But here’s the truth that changes everything:
Speaking your truth isn’t selfish.
It’s sacred.
And it’s your responsibility.
We’ve been taught that being “self-centered” is bad.
But what if self-centered actually meant this:
“I am at the center of my life. I honor my needs. I trust my voice. I build from alignment, not approval.”
The Trap of the Familiar
There’s a phrase I keep coming back to:
The devil you know.
It’s what keeps so many of us in the wrong relationships, the wrong jobs, the wrong roles.
Because it’s familiar.
But you weren’t made for familiarity.
You were made for fire.
Familiarity breeds contempt — not just for others, but for yourself.
And contempt is corrosion. It eats your joy.
It slowly kills your dreams.
If you’re in a life that feels “fine,” but not aligned —
If you’re always tired, always anxious, always questioning...
That’s not just burnout.
That’s misalignment.
That’s truth knocking — and you ignoring the door.
But here’s the truth:
The real danger isn’t in speaking.
The real danger is in staying silent.
Truth Is Medicine
I believe in truth as a healing force.
Not because it’s comfortable — but because it’s clarifying.
Truth strips away everything that was never really yours:
The roles you played.
The mask you wore.
The expectations you performed for.
And yeah, it might cost you something.
But it will never cost you as much as living someone else’s life.
The women I speak to — and for — are done performing.
We are done staying small, agreeable, invisible.
We are done being the ones who sacrifice, contort, and carry it all —
just to keep everyone else comfortable.
You Are Allowed to Want More
Let me speak this over you right now:
You are allowed to leave a relationship that’s “not that bad” if it no longer feeds your soul.
You are allowed to walk away from a job that looks good on paper but kills your spirit.
You are allowed to change your mind. Change your path. Change your life.
You don’t need permission to be happy.
You just need courage.
And the courage starts with truth.
My Mission Is This
I’m here to help women reclaim their voice.
Their identity.
Their divinity.
Their damn lives.
I want you to feel seen in your fullness —
To create spaces that feel like a hug.
To speak like your voice is gospel.
To walk through rooms like you belong there — because you do.
Whether it’s through my podcast, my home design business, my intuitive coaching, or my public speaking —
It’s all about this:
🔥 Embody your truth.
🔥 Live rooted in your being.
🔥 Reclaim your right to take up space.
Because when a woman stops betraying herself,
she becomes unstoppable.
So Let Me Ask You:
What truth have you been afraid to say?
What lie have you been living?
What mask are you ready to take off?
You don’t need to fix yourself.
You need to free yourself.
Say the thing.
Take the step.
Rip off the muzzle.
And watch your life rise to meet you.
With truth, fire, and love,
Jamie Shae
