ABOUT JAMIE

“We make our choices and our choices make our life. Every choice, big or small, is a co-creation with the Universe.”

MY BELIEFS:

My life is my testimony to all things are possible.

I have overcome trauma, abuse, neglect, betrayal; slaying inner demons, healing my deepest wounds, and cultivating a close and personal relationship with God/Source/Universe/Divine. And I did that while also being a single mother for the last 13 years.

I believe we are limitless beings who are held back only by our beliefs and unwillingness to take a chance on ourselves.

I have lived many lives in my 50+ years on this earth and I’m not even close to being done yet!

My faith in Source and my belief in myself has helped me create a life where I get to live on my terms, doing what I’m passionate about and having fun in the process.

I believe in beauty and energy and love and kindness. I also believe in strong boundaries, tough love, and taking no sh*t. So don’t mistake my kindness for weakness!

MY EXPERIENCE:

I spent almost twenty years doing everything right.

Corporate ladder. Chicago, then Des Moines, then Portland. A career built one promotion at a time. Kids raised. A life that looked, on paper, exactly like it was supposed to. The American Dream, fully assembled.

And somewhere in the middle of all that "right," I realized I'd built someone else's dream. I'd just been the one holding the hammer.

So I started over. Not once. More times than I can count. New cities, new chapters, new versions of myself I had to find before I could become them. Every time I rebuilt, I left something behind that no longer fit - a job, a relationship, an identity I'd outgrown. I learned the hard way that staying somewhere out of comfort -instead of alignment- isn't healing. It's hiding. And I'd rather rebuild than hide.

Each restart sharpened something in me. I got smarter about what actually mattered. Better at trusting what I already knew before I had the language for it. Greater, not in spite of the falling apart, but because of it.

Eventually that path brought me home, back to Siouxland, back to the place I left at seventeen - except this time I came back as someone who'd actually lived.

Coming home also meant coming back to myself. I picked up the charcoal and oil pastels again. I started seeing rooms the way I used to see them as a kid: not as square footage, but as feeling. And I stopped quieting the part of me that's always read energy in spaces and in people, the intuitive sense I'd been taught to set aside so I could be taken seriously in a boardroom.

I'm not setting it aside anymore.

I built Guided by Jamie because I refused to choose between the boss babe who can transform an organization, present to a room, and close a deal, and the woman who transforms spaces and feel exactly what it's holding onto. Both of those women are me. So now they work together.

Today I'm a Realtor with Keller Williams Siouxland, licensed across Iowa, Nebraska, and (soon-to-be) South Dakota, and I bring all of it to every client: the strategic, no-nonsense skill set I built over two decades in corporate America, the eye for design and staging that turns a stuck listing into a sold one, and the energy work that helps people actually release what's keeping them stuck before they ever put a sign in the yard.

Clear it. Style it. Sell it. That's not just a tagline. It's the order I had to do it in myself before I could guide anyone else through it.

If you're standing at your own threshold right now, selling a house, downsizing a life, starting over after a loss or a divorce or just a quiet realization that it's time, I'm not just going to list your house, or help you buy one, I'm going to help you clear the space, see what it can become, and walk you all the way through the process to whatever's next.

I know that road. I've walked it more times than I can count. I'd be honored to walk it with you.

20 years ago, when I found the courage to leave my marriage, I received the call for my life. God called me to be a speaker. He gave me the purpose and mission for my life. It didn’t make sense to me then, but my life had a direction and I simply had to say yes to everything that went in the direction of that call, no matter how small it seemed. One day I knew it would make sense. And today, 20 years later, I stand before you, a speaker, a story teller, a change maker, a way shower, a shaman, an alchemist, a mother, a daughter, a sourcer-er, a goddess. All things. Just like you.
